Experience rate raised to x12

The experience rate has gone up from x8 to x12. It is still non-staged, so it is the same multiplier the whole way: x12 at level 8 and x12 at level 800.

It is already running on the world. There is nothing to claim and nothing to reapply — log in and your next kill counts at the new rate. The World Information panel on the home page shows the new figure.

Skill and magic are unchanged at x8 and x6, and no experience you have already earned has been touched. Only what you earn from here on is counted at x12.

Server downtime, and 100 Tibia Coins by way of apology

The game server was unavailable for a stretch today. An error in one of our scripts brought it down, and the same error stopped the automatic reboot from doing its job, so the world stayed offline instead of coming back up on its own.

That is our mistake, not a problem at your end, and we are sorry for the hunt, the auction or the evening it cost you. The script has been fixed and the automatic reboot has been checked and is working again.

Every account has been credited with 100 Tibia Coins. There is nothing to claim and nobody to ask — open the store in game and the balance is already there.

Six changes after the reboot

The server is back up from its reboot with four things fixed and two added. There is nothing to claim and nothing to reapply — log in and it is all waiting for you.

Tasks work. Kills count towards the task you have taken again, so a task that had stopped counting picks up from where it stood rather than sitting still.

Buying five prey wildcards gives you five. Until now the store handed over a single card no matter how many you asked for; the full amount arrives now.

The store link no longer opens a blank page. Clicking it used to leave you looking at nothing at all — it takes you to the home page instead.

Cipfriend and Dallheim heal burning. Both of them offered to and neither of them did anything about it. Ask either one now and the fire goes out.

Imbuement resources are sold in Thais. The temple stocks them over the counter, so a missing material no longer means hunting for one before you can imbue.

Fist fighting can be trained offline. A fist fighting trainer has been added, so the skill grows while you are logged out like every other one.

250 Tibia Coins on every account

Every account on the server has been credited with 250 Tibia Coins. It is a one-time gift and it is already there — nothing to claim and nobody to ask. Open the store in game and the balance is waiting.

Part of it is a thank you for being here this early. The rest is a test. The in-game store has never had real balances spent through it, and the only dependable way to find out whether buying works — and whether the coins come off the balance the way they should — is for people to spend some and see.

So spend them. They are transferable coins, so you can pass them to another character if you would rather somebody else did the testing. If an item does not arrive, or the balance looks wrong afterwards, tell us on the support page and say which item it was. That is worth more to us right now than the coins are.

Skill rate rebalanced to x8

Melee, distance and shielding have been growing far faster than the rest of the game could keep up with. At the next server save the skill rate will drop from x12 to x8.

The magic rate stays at x6, and no skill levels will be taken away — only the speed at which new ones are earned changes. The World Information panel on the home page already shows the new figures.

Login issues resolved

Some of you were unable to log in this morning. A misconfiguration introduced during a server restart caused severe issues across the game world and the website.

The problem has been found and corrected, and everything is running normally again. Thank you for your patience.

Winter of the Frost Dragons

A new raid enters the northern ice caves every six hours. Frost dragon hides now trade on the marketplace.

Bring cold protection: the deeper caves hit hard, and the respawn does not wait for you to heal up.

House auctions moved to Sunday

Bids now close 20:00 CEST. Rent is charged weekly from the character's bank balance, so keep some gold in the bank if you like your house.
